Your learning system can take any number of registered users who can login and browse list of courses.
Active users are those users who have registered in one or more courses in a billing cycle. These are considered as active users in that cycle.
Active users number is used as a basis of plan pricing as well as any overage that you may accrue.
When you select a plan you are asked to choose maximum number of active users that you expect to have. There is a slider at the top of the pricing which lets you choose number of active users. As you move the slider, you will see that price of each plan changes.
In effect the higher the number of active users, the lower will be the cost per active user.
Exceeding the maximum number of active users in a month does not mean that your extra active users will not get access to courses. We do understand that even in best circumstances, educational academies might have sudden surge of learners who might wish to take a course.
edSPIRIT lets all extra active users to access the courses, and calculates what is called a surcharge or overage.
Administrator of Instance: We suggest that you use changes and surges of active users as a basis to upgrade or even downgrade your number of active users. You can do this easily in your admin dashboard.
