Deactivate a Certificate

Deactivate a Certificate

If modifications need to be made after certificate activation, deactivating the certification may be required.

It is advisable to abstain from making any alterations to certificates once they have been distributed in an active course.

To deactivate a certificate, follow these steps.

NotesAccess to activate certificates is exclusive to course team members with Admin or Staff roles.

1.  Ensure that you possess either the Administrator or Staff role for the course in question. To access Certificates from Studio, simply select it from Settings on the menu.

2.   Go to the Certificates page and click Deactivate.

No new enrollees will be granted certificates until the course team completes the necessary revisions and reactivates it again. Learners who have already been certified can retain access to their credentials while the certificate is temporarily suspended.
