Calculator

The calculator tool offers learners a versatile way to handle both basic and advanced calculations directly within their course environment. This tool accepts a range of inputs, including numbers, mathematical operators, Greek symbols, affixes, and trigonometric functions, enhancing the learning experience by integrating a powerful calculation tool.

Though accessible for all courses, the calculator is initially hidden and requires activation in the advanced settings for each course. Once enabled, a calculator icon appears at the bottom of each unit page. Learners can open the calculator by selecting this icon, which displays the tool at the lower part of their browser.

Additionally, the calculator provides a dedicated information page for guidance. By selecting the "i" icon near the input field, learners can access instructions and tips on how to enter various types of data, ensuring they make the most of this feature.

 

Activating the Calculator Tool

To activate the calculator tool, follow these steps:

  1. In Studio, go to the Content menu and choose Pages & Resources.
  1. Locate the Calculator card on the page, then click the gear icon on it.
  1. In the Configure calculator window, switch the toggle to turn the notes application on or off as needed.
  1. Click save to save your changes.
