Subject

Introduction

The topics covered in a discipline's courses are categorized as course subjects. It is easier for learners to search for and find courses that match their interests and learning goals by categorizing and organizing courses according to their subjects. It enables people to explore and learn about particular subjects of their choice by allowing them to filter and choose courses based on their preferred subjects.

Subject Settings Page

To access the subject settings page, click on the Subject option in the left menu under the Landing Page section.
The settings information is displayed on this page.

Title: It indicates the title of the subject.
Featured: Subjects which are selected with a tick are shown at the top of the Discover page.
Action: By clicking on the Edit option in this column, you can change the subject information.

Searching a Subject

To search for a subject, enter the desired subject in the subject search box and click on the "Search" button.

Creating a Subject

To create a subject, follow the steps below:
1. Click on the Add button.
2. Enter the subject name in the Title box.
3. Enter the desired slug in the slug box.

Note: The URL slug's short name is important for creating user-friendly and memorable web addresses. It should be concise, meaningful, and free of special characters. Short slugs improve readability, shareability, and search engine optimization.

The Slug cannot be changed once it is set, even if the subject's name changes in the future.
4. Click on the checkbox of the Featured option to display the subject on the discover page.
5. Click on the Browse option in the image section and upload the image related to the subject. The image must be PNG or JPEG, up to 1 MB, 16:9 aspect ratio, 500px max
6. Click on the Save button.

Deleting a Subject

To delete a subject, follow the steps below:
     1. Click on the Edit option in the Action column.
     2. On the edit page, click on the Delete button.
By deleting a subject in this section, the subject will be removed from the courses to which it was assigned.
